“And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” Luke 2: 8-12 ESV
As I read this passage of the first Christmas story, I was reminded of several things. Observations from recorded events about 6 – 4 BC
When was the last time the Lord spoke to you? What was the result when you listened and obeyed? Open your ears, heart, and mind to what God is saying to you this Christmas Season.

Thank you, Debi. Its encouraging to know that whatever time of life you're in or whatever the tasks before you, the Faithful One loves you, looks after you, and directs you.

These are my very favorite verses in the Bible. I love your insight. When I am still before Him, I often hear His voice and I am humbled and joyful. You are so right. He can use us in any circumstances. I think of your mom and the last few months of her earthly life. He used her mightily with family and friends. She was a witness even when she couldn’t physically do a lot.
